XRP Market Cap Exceeds $60 Billion Despite Price Decline
XRP maintains a market capitalization over $60 billion despite a 45% price drop in 2026 and the stalling of the Clarity Act.
The native asset of the XRP Ledger currently ranks as one of the largest digital assets with a market capitalization exceeding $60 billion. Launched in 2012, the asset functions as a bridge for cross-border payments and is utilized by institutions including SBI Holdings and Tranglo.
While the ledger remains a decentralized public blockchain, Ripple operates as a private company building infrastructure on the network and maintains a significant portion of the 100 billion XRP supply in escrow. The asset is also used for tokenized real-world assets.
Despite its institutional utility, XRP has faced a significant price decline in 2026. The asset fell to $1, representing a 45% pullback from a summer 2025 high of $3.65. Some traders continue to hold bullish positions in prediction markets, but the Clarity Act, which was anticipated as a primary catalyst for price recovery, currently appears to be derailed.
