Tecno Mobile Unveils Pova 8 Pro 5G for India Launch

Tecno Mobile unveiled the Pova 8 Pro 5G, a gaming-centric smartphone scheduled to debut in India on August 18. The device features a 6.78-inch 1.5K HyperLux AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor. To enhance gaming performance, the handset includes a dedicated P1 Graphic Chip that enables 144FPS gaming through frame interpolation.

The smartphone utilizes a Room Notices design framework, characterized by a bold transparent design and a customizable mini-LED Alive Matrix Display on the rear panel. This hardware allows the device to remain interactive and visible even when placed face-down. Technical specifications include up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary camera with OIS, and a 6500mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging. The device also carries an IP69K rating and runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16.

Alongside the standard model, the company introduced a Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. This version maintains the core hardware specifications but features distinct cosmetic changes, including a specific Tonino Lamborghini Black color. Pricing for the devices has not yet been disclosed.
