Westlife Foodworld Shares Surge 20% After Strong Q2 Results

Westlife Foodworld shares rose 20% following a 16% revenue increase and the addition of 11 new McDonald's restaurants in India.

Shares of Westlife Foodworld surged 20% to ₹638 on the BSE on October 23, 2026, after the company reported strong second-quarter results for FY27. The company, which operates McDonald's restaurants in West and South India through its subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants Private Limited, saw revenue from operations increase 16% year-on-year to ₹747 crore.

Financial growth was driven by a 10.1% acceleration in Same Store Sales Growth and double-digit guest count growth across various channels and regions. Operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization rose 29% to ₹98.1 crore, while margins expanded to 13.1%.

The company expanded its physical footprint by adding 11 new restaurants during the quarter, bringing its total network to 492 locations across 80 cities. Management credited the performance to menu innovation, value offerings, and an omnichannel convenience strategy. The company maintains an optimistic long-term outlook, citing the underpenetrated nature of the quick service restaurant market in India.
