Geely Automobile Revenue Rises 10% in Third Quarter
Geely Automobile reported a 10% revenue increase to 98.96 billion yuan in the third quarter, driven by higher vehicle sales and expanded exports.
Geely Automobile reported third-quarter financial results on Thursday, showing revenue grew 10% to 98.96 billion yuan. Attributable profit rose 28% to 4.84 billion yuan, though this figure fell short of Bloomberg analyst estimates of 5.19 billion yuan.
The company's core profit attributable increased 32% to 5.21 billion yuan, outstripping revenue growth and indicating improved operating performance. Geely attributed these gains to a 7% increase in vehicle sales volume, totaling 812,523 units, as well as a shift toward higher-value vehicles and a substantial increase in export sales.
For the first nine months of 2026, revenue rose 13% to 272.56 billion yuan. The company noted that reported profit growth during this period was tempered by net foreign-exchange losses. Following the announcement, Geely's shares listed in Hong Kong rose 2.3% to HK$14.52.
