Permanent TSB Raises Fixed-Rate Mortgage Interest Rates
Permanent TSB increased fixed-rate mortgage interest rates by an average of 0.3 percentage points following recent European Central Bank hikes.
Permanent TSB increased interest rates on its fixed-rate mortgage products on October 22, 2026. The bank implemented a weighted average increase of 0.3 percentage points, with specific hikes ranging from 0.2% to 0.35% depending on loan size, fixed term length, and loan-to-value ratios.
As part of the adjustment, a five-year fixed rate for 60-80% loan-to-value ratios rose from 3.6% to 3.9%. The bank also increased rates for certain green mortgages designed for energy-efficient homes. Permanent TSB attributed these changes to two recent interest rate hikes from the European Central Bank that totaled 0.5%.
Existing fixed-rate customers and all variable-rate customers are unaffected by the move. Borrowers who already hold offer letters have until January 19, 2027, to complete the drawdown of their loans at the previous rates.
