Morgan Stanley Upgrades Robinhood to Overweight with $150 Target
Morgan Stanley upgraded Robinhood Markets to overweight and raised its price target to $150, citing strong product velocity and improved customer economics.
Morgan Stanley upgraded Robinhood Markets from equal weight to overweight and increased its price target from $124 to $150. Analyst Michael Cyprys noted that the trading platform is leveraging its 28 million users through expanding product velocity, which has increased assets, activity, and monetization per customer.
The investment bank highlighted the success of prediction markets, which generated $156 million in second-quarter revenue from fewer than 2 million users. Morgan Stanley also identified Rothera, Robinhood's derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, as a key driver for adding exchange economics to internal flow and potentially generating third-party revenue.
This upgrade reflects a broader positive sentiment on Wall Street, where 22 of 28 analysts currently maintain a buy or strong buy rating on the stock.
