BDx Data Centers Breaks Ground on 640MW AI Campus

BDx Data Centers broke ground on September 22, 2026, on a 640-megawatt artificial intelligence data center campus called CGK4 in Jatiluhur, West Java, Indonesia. Located near the Jatiluhur Dam in Purwakarta, the project will be developed over three years and will consist of six buildings.

The first building is scheduled to enter service in early 2027, providing 120MW of IT capacity. This initial phase will utilize direct-to-chip liquid cooling to support rack densities up to 500 kilowatts. The campus is certified under the Nvidia DGX-Ready Colocation Data Center programme and is supported by 845 megavolt-amperes of grid capacity from the state utility PLN.

To fund the expansion, BDx secured a US$320 million loan facility in 2026. The company is also pursuing a hydroelectric power arrangement with Perum Jasa Tirta II to lower carbon emissions. CEO Mayank Srivastava described the project as a long-term investment in the infrastructure required for Indonesia's new phase of digital and AI development.
