China Launches 23rd Group of Internet Satellites

The Government of China launched a new batch of internet satellites into orbit on August 4, 2026. These satellites represent the 23rd group of a developing low-orbit internet constellation.

A Long March-8A carrier rocket transported the satellites from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site in Wenchang, located in south China's Hainan Province. The launch occurred at 4:52 p.m. Beijing Time, and the satellites successfully entered their preset orbits.
