GrainCorp Cuts 75 Jobs in Australian Bulk Handling Overhaul
GrainCorp is cutting up to 75 corporate and operational roles to streamline its organizational structure and improve responsiveness to grain growers.
GrainCorp, the largest bulk handler in eastern Australia, is implementing a company overhaul that will result in 70 to 75 redundancies across its corporate and operational divisions. The restructure aims to streamline organizational structures and improve responsiveness to growers and customers, particularly during peak periods.
Under the new operational model, GrainCorp will manage core capabilities such as planning, quality, and standards centrally. Regional and individual site teams will remain responsible for operational delivery. Chief Operating Officer Klaus Pamminger stated that the changes are designed to strengthen the company's ability to support growers over the long term while maintaining vital local relationships.
GrainCorp has assured grain producers that the changes will not impact its bulk handling network. Pamminger committed that the company's site footprint, which consists of more than 160 permanent and flexible sites, will remain unchanged.
