Chinese officials condemned the measures, arguing that sanctions lacking a basis in international law or authorization from the United Nations Security Council are unjustified.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian asserted that normal cooperation between China and Russia must remain undisturbed. He emphasized China's commitment to peace talks and the management of dual-use goods exports. The Chinese government indicated it will take necessary actions to defend its legitimate rights and interests in response to the British measures.
