Cockroach Janta Party Leads Youth Protests Over NEET Leak

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) led thousands of young Indians in protests in Delhi to demand accountability and transparency following a question paper leak in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The nationwide exam for undergraduate medical courses was cancelled by the Government of India after the leak affected approximately two million students.

Originally an online satire, the CJP has evolved into a leaderless, meme-driven youth movement. Protesters use the party's identity to symbolize resilience against a system they claim is defined by recurring exam scandals, inequality, and a lack of employment opportunities.

While the demonstrations began as a demand for fairness in education, the movement has expanded into a broader political contest. The protests have brought youth unemployment to the center of India's political debate, reflecting a deeper anxiety among Generation Z that institutional failures are undermining merit-based opportunity.
