Hello Games Brings No Man’s Sky to iOS Devices

Hello Games will launch No Man’s Sky on iPhone and iPad on October 28 as part of Apple's Indie Games Week celebration.

Hello Games will launch No Man’s Sky on iPhone and iPad on October 28. The release is part of Indie Games Week, an initiative launched by Apple on October 12 to highlight independent titles including Sifu, Vampire Crawlers, and Dome Keeper. The mobile version of No Man's Sky is a full experience rather than a lite version, incorporating nearly a decade of updates and the recent Cosmos expansion, though it excludes planetary settlements and multiplayer.

Co-founder Sean Murray hosted a deep dive video showcasing the port, which was the result of a three-year development project. The game is compatible with iPhone 11 and 3rd generation iPad Air and above. It features a 5GB download size and supports touch controls, physical controllers, and mouse-and-keyboard setups for iPad users.

The title will follow a free-to-try model, allowing players to experience the beginning of the game before making a one-time purchase to unlock the full version. Carson Oliver, Apple's head of App Store Worldwide, stated that the initiative celebrates teams that take creative risks and use the App Store as a global stage for bold ideas.
