UAE Showcases AI Labor Strategies at BRICS Meeting in India
Minister Abdulrahman Al Awar presented UAE labor growth and AI-driven policies at the 2026 BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting in India.
The United Arab Emirates presented its labor market growth strategies and AI-driven policies during the 2026 BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting (LEMM) in India. Minister Abdulrahman Al Awar detailed a national model centered on agile legislation and government-private sector partnerships.
Al Awar reported that this approach enabled the private sector workforce to more than double and women's labor market participation to grow by 109 percent over the last five years. He highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence for predictive labor market analysis and the use of digital platforms to manage occupational safety and wage protection.
The meeting concluded with member states adopting the Declaration of the BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting. This agreement establishes cooperation priorities across digital transformation, skills development, social protection, and women's participation in labor markets.
