Ford Targets 5 Million Annual Vehicle Sales by 2032

Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley aims to sell 5 million vehicles annually by 2032 through affordable new models and strategic global partnerships.

Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, has established a target to sell 5 million vehicles annually by 2032, which would increase current sales volumes by approximately 20%. This growth strategy follows a period of decline, with shipments through September 30 totaling roughly 3 million vehicles, a 9% decrease compared to the same period in 2025.

To reach this goal, Ford plans to introduce five new models priced under $40,000 by 2030. These offerings will include an electric pickup, specifically the Fathom electric truck, which Ford expects to sell 100,000 units in its first year. The Fathom will be produced at the Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky.

Ford is also pursuing capital efficiency and combating competition from Chinese automakers through international partnerships. The company is collaborating with Renault Group and Geely to launch new models in Europe and Southeast Asia. As part of these efforts, a joint venture with Geely will involve the production of electric vehicles at a Ford facility in Spain.
