Governor Dapo Abiodun Swears In Two New Ogun Commissioners
Governor Dapo Abiodun appointed Olayemi Sanusi and Adenike Ademokun as commissioners to fill vacancies left by officials pursuing 2027 political ambitions.
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun swore in Olayemi Sanusi and Adenike Ademokun as commissioners on Monday at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta. The appointments fill vacancies created by the resignations of Motunrayo Adeleye, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, and Funmi Efuwape, the Commissioner for Special Duties, both of whom left to pursue federal political ambitions for 2027.
During the ceremony, Abiodun instructed the new officials to prioritize state interests over personal, political, or sectional loyalties. He emphasized the necessity of integrity, humility, and prudence in managing public resources, noting that the administration has entered its final lap. The governor urged the appointees to ensure the completion of ongoing projects and to collaborate with public service agencies to deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
On behalf of the new appointees, Adenike Ademokun expressed gratitude for the appointments and pledged to support the administration's development goals and the welfare of Ogun State residents.
