Winnebago Shares Rise After Fourth-Quarter Earnings Beat
Winnebago Industries shares climbed after fourth-quarter earnings exceeded estimates despite a revenue drop and a cautious fiscal 2027 outlook.
Shares of Winnebago Industries rose as much as 8.6% after the company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of approximately 49 cents per share, slightly beating analyst expectations. The gain occurred despite a 17% revenue decline to $645.1 million and a fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings forecast of $1.65 to $2.25 per share, which fell short of Bloomberg Consensus estimates.
CEO Michael Happe attributed recent market share gains to strategic initiatives, including the Winnebago Motorhome transformation and growth within the Grand Design segments. The company expects North American RV wholesale shipments to range between 265,000 and 295,000 units in 2027, suggesting that a sustainable market recovery is not imminent.
Analysts from BMO Capital Markets and Raymond James noted that elevated interest rates continue to curb retail demand. While the macroeconomic environment remains difficult, analysts highlighted the company's momentum in cost-cutting strategies and new product development as key offsets to the industry downturn.
