Energy Transfer LP Supplies Natural Gas to AI Data Centers

Energy Transfer LP secured agreements to provide natural gas to Oracle, CloudBurst Data Centers, and Fermi America to power artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Energy Transfer LP is expanding its presence in the power sector by supplying natural gas to multiple artificial intelligence data centers. The midstream operator secured agreements to provide fuel to three Oracle data centers in the United States, a development project by CloudBurst Data Centers in Texas, and an AI campus operated by Fermi America.

This expansion follows a 20-year natural gas firm transportation agreement the company signed with Entergy Louisiana in November 2025. These moves highlight a strategic shift toward supporting the high energy demands of AI infrastructure.

Despite these growth initiatives, the company faces financial pressure with over $70 billion in long-term debt and a debt-to-equity ratio of 142%. This leverage poses a potential risk if interest rates increase during refinancing. However, the market has responded positively, with the company's stock rising more than 15% in early 2026, supported by a dividend yield of nearly 7%.
