Walmart Opens 100th Company-Owned EV Fast-Charging Site

Walmart Inc. opened its 100th company-owned and operated electric vehicle fast-charging site on Friday, August 21, 2026. The milestone station is located at a Walmart Supercenter on Jackson Creek Parkway in Monument, Colorado.

The expansion is part of a corporate strategy to offer customers dependable charging options during shopping trips. Customers can manage and pay for their charging sessions through the Walmart app, with discounted rates provided to Walmart+ members.

Shayne Wahlmeier, Senior Vice President of Walmart Energy, stated that the expansion gives drivers a dependable way to charge while in the store. The company plans to further grow the network in high-demand markets by collaborating with local utilities and partners.
