Writer Port Blames American Voters for Republic Dysfunction

Writer Port delivered an unprepared talk titled "Blame the voters" at TEDxFargo in July, arguing that American citizens are primarily responsible for the current state of the U.S. republic. Port asserts that politicians and media outlets merely provide the "entertainment and convenient lies" that the public demands.

He specifically cites the public's desire for a combination of big government and low taxes as a primary driver of the $40 trillion national debt.
