Sazerac Company Considers Acquisition of Berentzen-Gruppe AG

Sazerac Company, the U.S. spirits producer responsible for Buffalo Trace bourbon and Southern Comfort whiskey, is considering the acquisition of Berentzen-Gruppe AG. The German schnapps producer currently holds a market capitalization of 33.7 million euros, or approximately 38.9 million dollars.

Sources familiar with the matter indicate that the potential transaction is under examination, though these deliberations may not result in a final deal. Representatives for Sazerac Company declined to provide a statement regarding the talks, and Berentzen-Gruppe AG has not responded to requests for comment.
