India Leads Global AI Advantage Index in EY Report
India ranks first globally in AI-driven worker time savings and talent health according to the EY 2025 Work Reimagined Survey.
Ernst & Young reported that India leads the global AI Advantage index with a score of 53 points, significantly outperforming the global average of 34. The 2025 Work Reimagined Survey identifies India as one of the fastest adopters of Generative AI, with roughly 62% of workers utilizing the technology to enhance decision-making and task quality.
India also achieved the highest talent health score among studied nations at 82, compared to a global average of 65. This score reflects a workplace culture characterized by high employee trust. While rewards like bonuses and flexible schedules remain priorities for employees, the report indicates that rewards contribute approximately 32% to the overall talent health score globally.
Despite the high adoption rates, the survey highlights a gap in formal training. Most Indian workers spend fewer than 40 hours per year on AI learning, even as employers increasingly provide skill-building resources to balance productivity with employee experience.
