Senate Majority PAC Invests $5 Million in Kansas Senate Race

Senate Majority PAC is spending $5 million to support Adam Hamilton in a tossup Senate race against incumbent Republican Roger Marshall.

The U.S. Senate race in Kansas has become a competitive battleground, with the Cook Political Report classifying the contest as a tossup. Senate Majority PAC, the primary super PAC for Senate Democrats, is investing $5 million in television and digital advertisements to support challenger Adam Hamilton. This investment follows a New York Times/Siena University poll showing Hamilton and incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall in a dead heat.

Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton, a megachurch pastor and former Republican, has gained traction by criticizing the Trump administration's impact on the agricultural economy, specifically citing disruptive immigration raids and record-high diesel prices. In response, national Republicans have pledged $14 million to defend the seat. The Kansas Republican Party maintains that a strong partisan base will ensure victory despite economic headwinds.

The campaign has grown increasingly contentious. Democrats are targeting Marshall's vote to table an amendment regarding Jeffrey Epstein files, while Marshall has branded Hamilton an extremist and aired advertisements regarding allegations of sexual abuse by a volunteer at a church Hamilton founded. Marshall also faces scrutiny over his residency in Florida and allegations that he sued hundreds of former patients over unpaid medical bills. While the Kansas Livestock Association previously endorsed Marshall, the group has since decided to sit out the election.
