Analysts Issue Divergent Long-Term Bitcoin Price Predictions

Financial analysts provide widely varying price targets for Bitcoin, ranging from a $53,000 bear case to a long-term projection of $1 million.

Ned Davis Research and other financial analysts have released divergent price predictions for Bitcoin as more individual investors allocate retirement savings to the cryptocurrency. Projections vary significantly based on different valuation models, including network adoption, the quadrennial halving cycle, and comparisons to gold.

Some analysts maintain highly optimistic long-term views. Ned Davis Research projects Bitcoin could reach $170,000 by 2030 and $230,000 by 2035. Analyst Alessio Rastani suggests a potential peak of $1 million over the coming decades, though he warns that a sharp drop to $10,000 or $20,000 may occur before that growth.

Other institutions offer more conservative or bearish outlooks. Galaxy Digital forecasts a base-case floor between $40,000 and $46,000 for late 2026. Citigroup maintains a bear outlook, suggesting prices could fall to $53,000 within the next year. Chief alternatives strategist John LaForge has outlined seven distinct approaches to valuing the asset, including the stock-to-flow model, to account for these volatility gaps.
