Armenia and Azerbaijan Transition to Bilateral Trade Relationship

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced that trade between Armenia and Azerbaijan is transitioning from a one-sided arrangement to a bilateral relationship. He stated that Azerbaijani companies will soon begin purchasing goods and products from Armenian firms, ending a period where trade primarily flowed from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

This shift follows the arrival of the first Azerbaijani gasoline shipments to Armenia in late 2025. Mirzoyan noted that the relationship has become two-way, meaning there will now be both buying and selling between the two nations.

While the Armenian government has not yet released specific details regarding the types of exports Azerbaijan will purchase, Mirzoyan indicated that information regarding these product supplies will be announced in the near future.
