Saudi Arabia Launches World's Largest AI Data Center

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia is leading a national strategy to transform the kingdom into a global artificial intelligence hub as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 framework. To execute this goal, the sovereign wealth fund established Humain, a global AI enterprise responsible for developing cloud infrastructure and large language models.

Humain has deployed the world's largest AI data center in Dammam, which features a 6-gigawatt capacity and is supported by a $3 billion investment from Blackstone. This infrastructure enables AI services to reach more than 150 countries. A primary output of the initiative is the ALLaM model, an Arabic Large Language Model trained on over 380 billion words by Saudi experts to power the Humain Chat application for global Arabic speakers and Muslims.

Internally, the Public Investment Fund has used AI to automate more than 1,500 manual processes, a move that saved over three million working hours by the end of 2025. The Government of Saudi Arabia has officially designated 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence.
