Hacking Group BYOD Leaks Data of 3,615 Trump Mobile Customers

The hacking group BYOD leaked personal data of over 3,600 Trump Mobile customers after allegedly breaching a partner company in Florida.

The hacking group BYOD claims to have stolen and leaked the personal data of 3,615 Trump Mobile customers on the dark web. The exposed dataset includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, and order information. The breach reportedly includes data belonging to Eric Brunnett, the chief information officer at The Trump Organization.

BYOD alleges it gained access by installing a Remote Access Trojan on the device of an employee at Liberty Mobile, the Florida-based mobile virtual network operator that powers Trump Mobile's network. The group further claims to maintain live access to the TrumpMobile.com dashboard. According to BYOD, when the company was notified of the breach, Trump Mobile responded by stating they had no team to handle the situation and labeled the hackers as terrorists.

Verification efforts by PCMag confirmed the accuracy of some leaked records. This incident follows a pattern of security issues for the provider, including a reported security flaw in May and a separate claim last month by a group called Endzone, which alleged the theft of data from 4,000 users. Neither Trump Mobile nor Liberty Mobile has responded to requests for comment.
