India Accuses Pakistan of Sheltering Al-Qaeda at UN Security Council

India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, P. Harish, denounced Pakistan during a Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan. Harish accused Pakistan of providing a "permissive environment" for Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations, arguing that the country offered assistance and protection to key architects of the September 11 attacks, including Osama bin Laden, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and Ramzi Binalshibh.

Harish asserted that the same infrastructure used to shelter 9/11 plotters continues to support groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which have targeted India. He called on the international community to dismantle these sanctuaries to prevent future attacks and ensure that those who finance and aid terrorism no longer operate with impunity.
