Ukraine Exposes Russian Winter Energy Strike Plans

Ukrainian security services obtained Russian military documents detailing a strategic plan to target energy infrastructure during the upcoming winter. Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, stated the materials include specific calculations and weaponry allocations—including ballistic missiles and drones—intended to destroy power plants, water supply, and heat systems. Shmyhal described the Russian strategy as characterized by "cynicism and the cold, terrorist calculation."

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a series of strikes against Ukrainian military and intelligence targets. These operations included a hit on the DataGroup data center in Kyiv, which Russia claimed provided intelligence processing for the Ukrainian armed forces.

Russian forces also targeted a logistics center in Trebukhov used for dual-use goods and a dry cargo ship delivering military cargo to the port of Chernomorsk. These strikes are part of a broader campaign against Ukraine's military-industrial complex and logistics networks, occurring as Kyiv prepares its defenses against the revealed winter energy strategy.
