OpenWorld Acquires Blocksight to Automate Asset Tokenization
OpenWorld, Inc. signed a merger agreement to acquire Blocksight Holdings Co. to automate real-world asset tokenization for large-scale AI and energy projects.
OpenWorld, Inc. signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire Blocksight Holdings Co. to integrate AI agents into its OpenWorld Enterprise platform. These agents are designed to automate the lifecycle of real-world asset tokenization, specifically handling deal structuring, asset verification, investor onboarding, and reporting.
OpenWorld intends to use the Blocksight technology to scale two non-binding financing programs. The first is a $1 billion initiative with Meridian to fund a distributed AI computing network powered by residential battery storage and solar energy, with initial deployment to 10,000 homes planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. The second is a $130 million transaction with BeyondAI backed by intellectual property.
Blocksight co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld once the merger closes, subject to customary conditions. CEO Matt Shaw stated that the acquisition provides the foundation for tokenization work in energy and infrastructure, noting that programs of this scale cannot be managed by hand.
