Palantir Leads AI Growth as Salesforce and UiPath Pivot to Agents
Palantir Technologies reported surge in AI revenue while Salesforce Inc. and UiPath Inc. expand their agentic AI platforms to capture commercial market share.
AI demand has driven a massive growth spurt for Palantir Technologies, with the company reporting a 63% increase in overall revenue last quarter. This growth is centered on its AI Platform (AIP), which currently supports U.S. government military and intelligence operations and assists commercial clients in reducing AI hallucinations. Specifically, Palantir saw its U.S. commercial revenue climb 121% and government revenue rise 52%.
Despite these gains, analysts highlight a high valuation for the company, noting it trades at nearly 48 times its 2026 estimated forward price-to-sales. This has positioned competitors like Salesforce Inc. and UiPath Inc. as more affordable alternatives for enterprises seeking AI integration.
Salesforce Inc. is pursuing an agentic AI strategy through its Agentforce platform and the acquisition of Informatica to unify organizational data. This shift has already yielded results, with Agentforce annual recurring revenue surging 330% to $540 million last quarter. Simultaneously, UiPath Inc. is pivoting from traditional robotic process automation toward an AI agent orchestration model with its Maestro solution, which manages third-party AI agents and software bots.
