Singapore Awards 200MW Data Center Capacity to Four Operators

The Economic Development Board and IMDA allocated 200MW of data center capacity to four operators to expand Singapore's AI infrastructure sustainably.

The Economic Development Board and the Infocomm Media Development Authority have provisionally allocated 200 megawatts of new data center capacity to four operators. Digital Realty, Equinix, Keppel Data Centres, and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres were each awarded 50MW of capacity under the second Data Centre Call for Application.

These facilities are specifically designed to support artificial intelligence workloads and must achieve Green Mark for Data Centres Platinum certification. To ensure sustainable expansion, each operator committed to sourcing over 50% of their power from green energy pathways and implementing energy-efficiency technologies, including liquid cooling.

The application process began in December 2025 and attracted more than 20 proposals. Government authorities intend to review the necessity of another application exercise within 18 to 24 months.
