Senior BJP leader Mahant Guruji Raju Nath Chandel met with Tarun Chugh, the BJP National Office Secretary and Gujarat In-Charge, in New Delhi on November 7, 2026. During the meeting, Chandel presented Chugh with a bouquet of flowers and a traditional Angavastram to extend Diwali greetings.
The interaction included BJP SC Morcha leaders Mantosh Das, Rasa Manja Barman, and Suban Kujur. The group focused on the principles of Sanatan culture and the national significance of the festival. Chandel described Diwali as a spiritual message of moving from "darkness to light, ignorance to knowledge and despair to hope."
Chandel emphasized the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, asserting that the world is one family. He urged citizens to move past divisions of region, language, and caste to bolster national unity, arguing that the nation must collectively prioritize the preservation of India's spiritual heritage alongside development and prosperity.
