SpaceX Secures Massive Nvidia GPU Supply for AI Business
SpaceX is investing billions in data centers and securing a large portion of Nvidia's 2027 GPU supply to provide AI computing to major tech firms.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is aggressively expanding its artificial intelligence computing business through multi-billion dollar investments in data centers. The company has secured a significant percentage of Nvidia's GPU supply for 2027, a move that positions it as a dominant provider of compute resources for the AI industry.
SpaceX has signed compute contracts with Alphabet and Reflection AI, and reportedly maintains a deal with Anthropic worth $1.25 billion per month. Elon Musk stated that SpaceX exclusively utilizes Nvidia technology to power these operations.
Analysts at Bernstein and BNP Paribas suggest that Nvidia may prioritize SpaceX over smaller neocloud providers such as CoreWeave and Nebius Group. This preferential allocation of hardware could create critical supply bottlenecks for smaller firms, potentially diminishing their competitive edge and the overall value of their relationships with Nvidia.
