Danone Reports 4% Sales Growth in Third Quarter 2026
Danone increased third-quarter like-for-like sales by 4% to €7,233 million, driven by price increases and strong demand for health-focused product portfolios.
The food company Danone reported a 4% like-for-like sales increase for the third quarter of 2026, totaling €7,233 million. This growth resulted from a 3.6% price increase and a 0.4% rise in volume and mix, with strong performance across high-protein, gut health, and medical nutrition categories.
Regional performance varied, with the Specialized Nutrition division seeing growth in the Americas and Essential Dairy and Plant-based (EDP) products gaining momentum in France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. In North America, the company implemented new measures to improve innovation and execution to restore EDP performance. Other growth drivers included strong sales of Activia and Oikos in Japan, as well as dynamic market activity in India and Indonesia.
CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique reiterated the company's full-year guidance, attributing the results to a resilient multi-engine growth model. In a separate leadership update, Danone announced that Chief Operations Officer Vikram Agarwal will retire in early 2027.
