PDP Submits Pantami's Gombe Governorship Nomination to INEC

The Peoples Democratic Party completed the upload of nomination records and the official profile for Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami to the Independent National Electoral Commission portal on July 26, 2026. This submission formalizes Pantami's candidacy for the Gombe State governorship in the 2027 general elections.

Pantami, a former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, secured the nomination after emerging unopposed during the party's primary election on May 26, 2026. The Pantamiyya Movement confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission monitored the process, which was further verified by the PDP National Organising Secretary.

Pantami intends to apply his professional background in security, education, and the digital economy to promote inclusive governance and economic growth within Gombe State.
