Secret Garden Distillery Limited Enters Voluntary Liquidation

Secret Garden Distillery Limited has ceased trading and entered creditors' voluntary liquidation after four years of operation in Scotland.

Secret Garden Distillery Limited, a family-run Scottish distillery based near Edinburgh, has entered creditors' voluntary liquidation and ceased all trading operations. Founded four years ago by two sisters, the company had previously earned industry recognition, including Gold awards from The Spirits Business in 2024 and the title of UK Gin Producer of the Year 2025 from the IWSC & Club Oenologique.

Companies House documents confirm that Gareth David Wilcox and Mark Harper of Opus Restructuring have been appointed as joint liquidators to oversee the winding-up process. The collapse of the distillery occurs during a period where overall insolvencies in the UK food and accommodation services sectors were trending downward as of May 2026.
