Leidos Selects X-Bow Systems for Army Missile Boosters
Leidos partnered with X-Bow Systems to produce booster motors for the U.S. Army's Low-Cost Containerized Munition program.
Leidos selected X-Bow Systems Inc to develop and produce booster motors for the U.S. Army's Low-Cost Containerized Munition (LCCM). The partnership was announced during the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C.
Under the agreement, X-Bow must complete design, qualification testing, and static fires before transitioning to full-rate production in 2027. The LCCM program is a component of the Department of War's Arsenal of Freedom initiative, which seeks to rebuild the domestic solid rocket motor industrial base and deploy precision munitions in high volumes.
X-Bow CEO Jason Hundley stated that the partnership allows the company to produce combat-ready rocket motors at production scale. This contract is one of six propulsion programs X-Bow has secured in 2026 across the Army, Navy, and Missile Defense Agency.
