Brayshaw Family Sells Roundhay Farm to Neighboring Farmers
The Brayshaw family sold their 3,678-hectare Roundhay property in Western Australia's Eastern Wheatbelt to neighboring farmers following an online auction.
The Brayshaw family sold their 3,678-hectare agricultural property, Roundhay, in Western Australia's Eastern Wheatbelt to neighboring farmers. The family had owned the land since 1924. The sale concluded after an online auction where bids rose from an opening of $7.7 million to $12 million, though the property was initially passed in for falling just short of the reserve price.
Final negotiations immediately following the auction secured the sale at an improved price. The property operates on a 50/50 cropping and grazing rotation, currently supporting 1,200 Merino ewes and lambs, 500 hoggets, and crops of wheat, barley, and oats for the 2026 season. Infrastructure on the site includes a four-bedroom home, seven grain silos, and a four-stand shearing shed.
Nutrien Harcourts managed the sale through Openn Negotiation. Selling agent William Morris noted that the property represented a rare opportunity to secure a significant holding in a tightly held agricultural region.
