Pollen Robotics Launches Microduck Amid Nvidia Acquisition Reports

Pollen Robotics, a French subsidiary of Hugging Face, launched the Microduck, a programmable personal robot that generated over $4 million in revenue from 10,000 units sold since Thursday. Priced at $399, the duck-shaped device functions as a consumer toy and a development platform that utilizes open-source software to learn from virtual simulations.

The robot is powered by the RK3566 chip from Rockchip, a Shanghai-listed company that licenses technology from ARM. High consumer demand has already forced the company to push delivery dates for new orders beyond the original Christmas 2026 estimate.

This product launch coincides with reports that Nvidia has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. Neither company has commented on the potential deal, though Hugging Face co-founder Burt Wolf noted the strong rush for Microduck orders.
