Constellation Energy is providing nuclear and natural gas power to Microsoft, Meta, and CyrusOne to support high-compute AI data center infrastructure.
Constellation Energy is expanding its footprint in the artificial intelligence sector by securing long-term power purchase agreements with major technology firms to support GPU infrastructure. The company focuses on providing stable, large-scale nuclear and natural gas energy to meet the high demands of AI data centers.
In 2024, the company entered a 20-year agreement with Microsoft to restart operations at Three Mile Island. This was followed in June 2025 by another 20-year deal with Meta Platforms to provide nuclear power from the Clinton Clean Energy Center in Illinois, with operations slated to resume in 2027.
Constellation also expanded its capacity in Texas through its unit, Calpine. The company signed a 380-megawatt agreement with CyrusOne for the Freestone Energy Center and a separate 400-megawatt agreement for a site in Bosque County.
