Canada Announces Child Benefit Increase Across Multiple Provinces

The Canadian government has scheduled two coordinated announcements on July 20, 2026, to highlight an increase in the Canada Child Benefit intended to lower costs for families nationwide.
Julie Dabrusin, Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature, will visit Windsor, Ontario, to discuss the benefit increase. Her announcement is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. EDT at the Ready Set Go! Birth to Six Parental Support center, where she will be available for media and photos.
Simultaneously, Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board Tom Osborne will visit St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Representing Secretary of State for Children and Youth Anna Gainey, Osborne will lead an event at 11 a.m. NDT at the BGC St. John’s facility to emphasize the program's role in reducing family expenses.
