Gallagher Developments Plans 400 New Homes in Chipping Norton
Gallagher Developments proposes a 400-home residential scheme in Chipping Norton featuring 40% affordable housing and a new nature park.
Gallagher Developments is planning a new residential project on 56 acres of land north of the A44 London Road in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. The proposed scheme consists of approximately 400 homes, with 40% designated as affordable housing. The development would include a new local centre, a nature park, and more than 27 acres of publicly accessible green space.
The developer is currently conducting a public consultation period ending August 3, after which it expects to submit an outline planning application to the West Oxfordshire District Council this summer. Gallagher Developments states the project is intended to address housing needs at sustainable locations and utilize employment opportunities within the nearby Enstone corridor.
In addition to the residential plans, the company is coordinating with the Chipping Norton Town Council, Oxfordshire County Council, and Rainier Developments regarding the creation of a potential sports hub. This collaboration aims to integrate residential growth with local infrastructure and economic development in the district.
