Lenskart Cofounder Peyush Bansal Hits $1 Billion Net Worth

Peyush Bansal reached a $1 billion net worth after Lenskart shares hit an all-time high following a four-fold increase in quarterly net profit.

Peyush Bansal, cofounder of eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions, has reached a net worth of $1 billion. The milestone follows a surge in the company's stock price, which hit an all-time high of nearly 627 rupees on the National Stock Exchange.

The valuation spike comes after Lenskart reported a four-fold increase in net profit to 2.28 billion rupees for the quarter ending June 30. Since going public in November 2025 and raising $821 million, the company has expanded its global footprint to 3,459 stores across 16 countries, including India, Singapore, Japan, and the UAE.

Lenskart supports its growth through backward integration, utilizing lens manufacturing in Rajasthan and a joint venture in China, while constructing a new high-capacity factory in Hyderabad. SoftBank remains the largest shareholder with a nearly 10% stake, having led a $275 million funding round in 2019. The company continues to compete primarily with Titan Eye +, a subsidiary of Titan Company, in the Indian market.
