Jio Platforms Leads Surge of October IPOs in India

Jio Platforms and eleven other companies prepare to launch initial public offerings in October 2026, following a record year for Indian corporate fundraising.

A dozen companies are preparing to launch initial public offerings in October 2026, led by Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd. Jio Platforms is expected to launch the largest IPO in Indian history, with a subscription window scheduled from October 21 to October 23.

Other significant offerings include Avaada Electro, which plans to raise Rs 7,600 crore, and Zetwerk Manufacturing Business, which aims to raise approximately Rs 5,000 crore. The pipeline spans the technology, defense, healthcare, and renewable energy sectors. These companies intend to use the capital for debt repayment, capital expenditure, and business expansion through a combination of fresh equity issues and offers for sale.

This surge follows a strong fundraising period in which Indian companies raised over Rs 1.1 lakh crore through 96 IPOs. Neha Agarwala, Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at JM Financial Ltd, noted that primary market momentum continues into the second half of the year with a robust pipeline, though she observed that investor behavior is shifting from momentum-driven to quality-and valuation-driven.
