Nvidia May Launch 24GB RTX 5080 in December
Nvidia may introduce a 24GB GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card by December 2026 and phase out specific hardware models in China.
Reports indicate that Nvidia may launch a 24GB GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card as early as December 2026, with broader availability extending into January 2027. This new model would provide 50% more memory than the current 16GB version.
According to Chinese distribution source ChannelGate, the company plans to cease supplying the 16GB RTX 5080 and the RTX 5090 D V2 within China. While existing stock of the 16GB model is expected to last roughly two months, it remains unclear if these supply changes will be implemented in markets outside of China.
Nvidia has not officially announced these product roadmap changes. Final specifications, including clock speeds and pricing, have not yet been established.
