Air Sénégal Plans 2027 Flights to Liberia
Air Sénégal plans to launch flight operations connecting Dakar to Monrovia via Guinea and Sierra Leone in early 2027.
Air Sénégal is planning to launch flight operations to Liberia in the first or second quarter of 2027. The proposed route will connect Dakar, Senegal, to Monrovia, Liberia, with scheduled stopovers in Conakry, Guinea, and Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Chief Executive Officer Tidiane Ndiaye discussed the expansion during an October 16, 2026, meeting in Dakar with Julius D. Dennis, Jr., the Director General of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority. Ndiaye stated that arrangements are underway, though the launch remains subject to operational and regulatory requirements.
Beyond the Liberian route, Ndiaye indicated the airline is exploring direct flights from North America to Dakar to establish the city as a gateway to West Africa. These initiatives align with the Single African Air Transport Market goals to liberalize air transport and reduce restrictions across the continent. Director General Dennis credited Diaga Basse of the Senegal Civil Aviation Authority for facilitating the discussions.
