Hendrickson and Hansen Urge Voting to Counter Fascism

Cathy Hendrickson and Mike Hansen published an opinion piece calling on citizens to vote and maintain vigilance against the resurgence of fascism. The authors characterize fascism as a plague that grows when ignored, exploiting apathy, ignorance, and fear to gain traction.

They argue that the U.S. Constitution can inadvertently provide a niche for such ideologies to take root if they are not actively countered. To prevent the erosion of democracy and the potential enslavement of the people, the authors advocate for a combination of education, personal bravery, and a collective will to uphold constitutional values.
