Air India Express Launches Mangaluru to Ras Al Khaimah Flights

Air India Express launched a direct flight service between Mangaluru International Airport in India and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates on October 26, 2026. Introduced as part of the Winter Schedule 2026, the service operates every Monday and Saturday.

The inaugural outbound flight IX 871 carried 146 passengers, while the incoming flight IX 872 arrived with 36 passengers. The airline expects the route to benefit leisure travelers and expatriate migrant communities, specifically those traveling to Sharjah and Dubai, which are located approximately one hour from Ras Al Khaimah.

This new route expands the international network of Mangaluru International Airport, which currently manages 58 weekly flights. The airport maintains a heavy concentration of services to UAE destinations, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
