Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun Visits Thailand to Boost Ties
Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun met with Thai leaders in Bangkok to upgrade military cooperation and discuss regional stability.
Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun visited Bangkok on July 24 to hold high-level talks with Thai Defense Minister Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. The officials agreed to upgrade the quality of military cooperation and deepen strategic coordination between the two nations.
During the meetings, Anutin Charnvirakul reaffirmed Thailand's adherence to the one-China policy and expressed gratitude for China's role in mediating conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia. Admiral Dong Jun characterized Thailand as a reliable partner for maintaining regional prosperity and stability, while expressing Chinese support for Thailand and Cambodia in maintaining ceasefires and resolving disputes peacefully.
