Greenland Resources Backs Canada-EU Critical Minerals Alliance

Greenland Resources Inc. supports a new Canada-EU alliance to facilitate investment in critical raw materials for the Malmbjerg molybdenum project in Greenland.

Greenland Resources Inc. expressed support for the Canada-EU Alliance for the Future following its launch in Montreal by Canadian Prime Minister Carney and European Commission President von der Leyen. The alliance establishes an agreement between the European Investment Bank and Canada to streamline EU investment in critical raw materials.

The company is utilizing this framework to advance the Malmbjerg molybdenum deposit in east-central Greenland. The European Commission previously designated the project as a priority under its RESourceEU initiative. To secure its supply chain, Greenland Resources has signed binding long-term offtake agreements with major EU steel producers Outokumpu and SSAB.

Financial support for the project includes a non-repayable contribution from the government of Canada provided this year to advance detailed engineering. Greenland Resources continues to coordinate with the European Commission and the EU steel industry to finance remaining capital expenditures for the deposit.
